Ive had both phones and I really like them both but if I had to choose I’d go with the instinct because it has more to it, and I get amazing reception(OHIO). The Iphone is just a good looking phone and is very user friendly I think 3g shoulve had more to it … I think I should’ve been on the development team I would have made this phone greeeeaaat :)

I think it depends on who's using it. I prefer to have my electronics separate, so I would go with my Instinct. After all, if you drop your iPhone in a river, you just lost your iPod, Spanish-English dictionary, teleophone, and digital camera. That's my take.
